Love * China

13 Jan 2007 Saturday
The theme of this exhibition is LOVE CHINA. Just went to the Opening Ceremony, was so surprised to see press taking photos and passers-by taking photos of my art piece. It is so cool to have an art piece exhibited :)
Carol came visit! So sweet! :)

14 Jan 2007 Sunday

These four pics are taken by Ah Siu -- so artistic. I don't even think of taking it in other angles but he did. I like these four photos so much more than mine!!! Big mouth boy, thanks for coming!!
This little girl loves her glass art! :D
Bart and Rachel, you two are artists too!!! :) Your glass art is better than mine!! :P

One lovely glass from a passer-by~

I am amazed that many guys like drawing on glass too! :)

It is a wonderful experience holding an art workshop that everyone can join it. I was often asked by some parents yesterday whether I could draw it for them. I always replied that I could but it is also very easy and more fun for your child to try it out too. Not that I dont wanna draw, and in fact if they ask me to draw, I should be happy, but I just think everybody could be an artist or at least, everybody can enjoy the process of drawing. This is very meaningful because it helps promote glass art and art in general. It is also meaningful that it's a fund-raising activity.

I feel sweet that some want me to draw lotus for them becuase one of the displays is a lotus that I drew. There is a real sense of satisfaction that nothing can really compare with. I dunno how to describe it but you may also have similar experience. Share it with me!

The process of drawing glass art takes 10 to 15 minutes. If you are familiar with it, 5 minutes could do for anyhow you need to wait for it drying. Significant results yesterday because it can still attract hundreds of busy Hong Kongers drawing it within a few hours. Happy!

This is a good beginning of 2007. A step of dream coming true. Pray for me. I am ready for it.

My sister's heart and blood

Perhaps part of me is really connected to Thailand. It's in my blood.

Fulfilling Bangkok Voyage

My nephew Lookyee and his girl-friend, Tom. Great match!

He just loves to make funny face!! It's been two years we havent met but naturally we chat like old friends. This was taken where he took us the most famous restaurant for Phad Thai (Thai Fried Noodles). Yummy!

We ate so much street food and the orange juice is so sweet! We love it. All the more, we love the people we met there!

On the last day, I visited my father's elder father's wife. She is a strong woman. You can see it from her face. But it is because of this that she can hold all family members together and keep the Chinese tradition when they are all living in Thailand. And it is meeting her on my own, without my mum, that I get to realise how close we actually are. The root-searching comes to me as an accident but I start to understand why my parents want me to learn Chiu Chow in the past--it's the fundamental culture and tradition of our family. Since I cannot communicate with her in Chiu Chow this time, I feel the need to learn it all the more. At the same time, it is strange that I use my fragmental Thai to talk to her since she can only speak Chiu Chow and Thai. In the coming year, my resolution is to learn Chiu Chow and Thai. Wish me luck!! :D

First Post of the Year

A new year, a new place.

We wish you a fruitful and enjoyable 2007!

This was taken at the Christmas Party + House Warming on 24, Dec 2006. The Christmas Tree was a gift from Ah Bak and the Christmas tree decoration with our names on were given by Ngai Sze Kai and Flora from their Honeymoon trip in England; I love them so much especially with this polariod taken by Ah Bak. He is a great photographer!

Matt was preparing for the dinner! I think I was in kitchen at that time?

Wow! So much to eat! It's winter time. Of course, we had hot pot dinner! They were crazy. Never full!
Before crazy eating!

After the two-round hotpot, we took so some hip-hop photos!

Obviously we all became crazy and had great fun that nite!! :D
